Project in Progress - awaiting installation

Cirrus is a physical representation of change, rendering the invisible passage of time, visible.

Cirrus is a site-specific integrated artwork located within a ground-floor public breezeway, adjacent to the entry of a health care center. The sculpture’s dynamic form responds to the flow of pedestrians as they move through the breezeway, but also creates a point of interest and a contemplative backdrop for people waiting and resting.

The artwork consists of hundreds of custom blue aluminum fins set against a lightly reflective metallic backdrop. Each fin has a unique shape and mounting angle which produces variations in color and tone across the length of the artwork. A micro perforation pattern on the backdrop panel further emphasizes the overall fluid effect and variable patterns of light and shadow.
